Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that naturally occurs throughout the body, and is important in maintaining your skin's hydration. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases, which is a contributing factor as to why fine lines and wrinkles appear.  It helps to bind water to collagen  which traps it in the skin - achieving a plump and hydrated appearance.

Aside from aging, many factors can cause a degeneration in the skin barrier allowing water to escape and cause dryness. Some of these include a poor diet, excess sun, and toxic skin products such as foundation and skin cleansers/moisturisers. You don't need to have a science degree to recognise that most of the mainstream 'skin rejuvenators' really aren't that good for you. One thing to look out for are toxic chemicals such as parabens, pthalates, sodium lauryl sulfates, triclosan, lead, aluminum and the list could go on. Generally, if the word in the ingredients list looks alien, it should be investigated before buying.

Yes, your skin will naturally lose it's bouncy appearance one day. But fear not! Having a nourishing and natural skin care regimen will help to fight this battle. By using the Frankincense Serum before putting on a moisturiser, a beautiful synergy starts to happen. The hyaluronic acid in the serum will be able to draw water from the moisturiser into your skin, working to achieve maximum hydration.

  • Patch test prior to use. In the unlikely event of skin reaction, discontinue use and consult health practitioner.
